EVENTSFILM NIGHTSPUBLICATIONSGALLERYGALLERY 2WELCOMEAUTHORSCONTACTLINKSPOETRY CAFE

We host regular poetry readings at the Flux Gallery, providing a  venue for both local, national and international poets and their poetry. Our poetry
evenings have become very well known throughout the North of England and are well attended. Our readings are appreciated and respected
for the quality of the poetry and the generosity of the hospitality. The in-house trio Des the Miner give added flavour and ambience to the evenings,
playing languorous cool jazz, in a 1950's be-bop style..

If you would like to be kept informed of forthcoming events please fill in the form on the contact page
and we will email you with regular updates.

Launch of "The Cage" by Ian Parks

We are delighted to announce the publication of the latest pamphlet by Ian Parks. This new collection
offers a personal insight into the interior world of one of England's most subtle lyric poets. Most of the poems
in this collection are new and have been written in an extraordinary outburst of creative activity. Throughout
the editorial process Ian bombarded us with new poems of such quality that we had to continually
reset the manuscript. The poems in this collection mark a significant departure into a more intimate and
personal style.
